How will the Year of the Tiger turn out for you? What can you do now to assure you thrive this year?
Every culture has some form of astrology, numerology or divination. Over centuries of gathering data and comparing it to outcomes — systems developed that offered a degree of reliability. If not – they would not be avidly followed today by millions. Combine systems and find an image you can work with.
Think of energy forecasts like a weather prediction – rain and snow affect your day – or week, right? In the same way the constant shifting energy patterns in life affect your moods and outlook. If you think a trend is true because you fear it – like the economic downturn – you make it true for you acting from fear. Truth is – many created fortunes in the downturn. It’s all in your interpretation.
The challenge of interpretation.
If you feel fearful then you read the worst into it and expect it and get it – proving the accuracy of your fearful feelings or of a negative omen. Same thing is true if you know things are working out for you: you find the guideposts that lead to success – and act on suggestions – looking for solutions. No wonder you swear by the accuracy of your system.
“We either make ourselves miserable
or we make ourselves happy.
The amount of work is the same.”
-Carlos Castaneda
The Year of the Tiger
The Chinese Lunar Calendar and its horoscope are divided into twelve cycles, each with its own animal. The year 2010 is the Year of the Tiger effective from 14th February 2010 until the 4th of February 2011.
Like the houses of the zodiac in Western astrology good luck, the animals of Chinese astrology define personality traits of individuals. Each sign rules a year and impacts world events in their year.
The Metal Tiger Year Quick Recap
Swift, passionate and dynamic – 2010 promises BIG changes all over the world. Tiger years are turbulent and tempers flare. Expect a year where strength (knowledge and planning) and speed (ability to respond) are rewarded. Define your Life Purpose and your passion will propel you into a year of positive changes. Plan and stalk success relentlessly. Wrongs will be made right. Integrity, passion and dignity are the keywords in 2010. The Tiger is the King or Queen of the Jungle (as is the lion in Western culture) and represents leadership and rulers, and your inner authority.
The Metal Tiger Year: Golden for those that rule.
Gold relates to Metal and money and some say that 2010 is a Golden Tiger year. Abundance and riches are the natural right of Kings and Queens, those in authority and leadership. For some, uniting passion and money signals trouble – for others, opportunity.
The Economy and Stock Markets
If you are an options trader or a day trader – the volatility this year can open the path to a fortune. For the long-term investor use the same golden rule: buy low and sell high. The downturns are excellent buy opportunities…Do you know what to buy next? Look for solid companies paying a dividend. Second rule of investing: money now and money later. Don’t chase dividends – find solid companies paying a good return. Follow global trends and invest in companies with a worldwide base – especially those serving India and China. Think global and buy local: buy stocks that will grow with the new global markets.
Partnerships at home and work
Allow time for stress relief and slow down. A Tiger year’s volatile energy wears tempers thin. Short, angry frustration erupts over small issues over and over. Take a break and cool off before you blame another for your stress. The good news is your sex life will be infused with passion that unites you and your partner. One thing to count on: the Year of the Tiger is not boring!
“Thorough preparation makes its own luck.”
Joe Poyer

“If your life is ever going to get better, you’ll have to take risks.
There is simply no way YOU can grow without taking chances.
You have a chance to improve yourself. Just believe in taking chances.”
-David Viscot
Make the most of the Year of the Metal Tiger.
If you resist the changes and attempt to hold onto the familiarity of the past you will be less secure. Things are changing and denying change leaves you unprepared to land on your feet. Resistance to the inevitable appears to force you to leave a comfortable lifestyle and enter into uncertainty. Why not consider change a constant and look for opportunities? If you hold on and fear problems you are sure to find them.
How will this year affect you?
How compatible are you with dynamic changes — and can you avoid the downside Trends? Is there an insight here on how to make this year’s “energy” work best for you?
Positive Trends: Courageous actions, integrity and honesty are rewarded – or else! No tolerance for deception. Positive expectations of good outcomes and energy is available to take a risk. Cooperation and friendly encounters, warm hearted communication, and good relationships support changes. A year of feeling independent and changeable.
Negative Trends: Short-tempered exchanges; abrupt and inconsiderate authority figures create havoc. Moody and withdrawing from dialogue upsets relationships; Predator actions of taking from the poor or disadvantaged – are exposed; and radical clashes with authority disrupt the peace.
The Number 3 and the Empress (Tarot) in the Year of the Tiger
The Tiger is the 3rd sign and so resonates to the number 3. In esoteric numerology 2010 becomes 2+1 = a 3 year overall. In the Tarot, the Empress is the 3rd card in the Major Arcana (the wisdom school teachings of the path to enlightenment.)
A 3 Year Manifests- Bringing New Creations to Life.
The number 3 relates to development, growth and the unfolding of inner Visions. It is a year of expression or manifestation of your inner thoughts (subconscious) and desires. A 3 year manifests all that is hoped for from the prior two years. You learn to understand yourself through manifesting your inner life (subconscious) – out in the world. Only Focus on ideas you want to experience – the 3 year brings ideas into manifestation.
“As a general rule, the most successful man in life is the man who has the best information.”
-Benjamin Disraeli
The Empress (Tarot) In the Year of the Tiger
The Empress is the archetypal Earth Mother and all wealth comes from the Earth – everything – minerals, oil, gas, trees, land, water, food…all life. The Empress also brings balance and stability in your life. Create now as she creates – here’s how:
Her creative power is not focused on creating the world she wants to live in, or trying to be the person she wants to be, because she lives in a world she loves and she IS the person she wants to be.
Align with this creative power through living your Vision now. Be in it and love it and expand it. She creates life abundantly in all its forms – through you, as you.
This year is feminine or Yin, and represents the power of drawing what you need to you (not going to get it (Yang) but allowing it to be given and receiving it.) Create something new – a new beginning chapter in your life. Tap your creative potential and tap out fears using EFT – energy balancing. Allow your new creation to grow into life just as you would nurture a seedling as it grows into a tree.
Enjoy the riches of nature and the natural world. Allow enjoying beauty to restore your connection to Life Force.
Summary of the Empress in a Tiger Year.
Compassion, nurturing and tolerance are the keywords in 2010. This is the antidote to the harshness of a Tiger Year. The Empress year is seeded with ideas. New life and possibilities grow up around you. Abundance and fruitfulness comes from you and then grows into life. Pay attention to nature and create in just this way – and abundant crops are assured. Tap out fear and be open to new situations, people and opportunities. Ground your energies as if “rooting into the earth” and take rest time to refresh and restore. Create beauty and Joy everyday. Live the life of the King or Queen.
“Why are we more ready to believe in what’s outside of us than what’s inside?”
-Stuart Avery Gold, “ping”
Finding answers you can rely on.
Seeking answers outside of yourself is like looking for your health in a pill, or your wealth in the next hot new thing. Except for the promoters – it’s not very successful, is it?
If you really want to know EXACTLY where you’ll be next year – with math certainty – you can predict that. Take a look at last year and compare it to where you are now. Anything different? Want something more? Make a very practical, common sense decision about where you want to end up, and what has to change. Take action and do it. If you don’t know how – learn EFT and Tapping to remove blocks in your energy field and then Tap in your Vision.
“Progress begins with the belief
that what is necessary is possible.”
-Norman Cousins
No mater what the “astrology” or your Psychic says – bottom line: You are the center of your world and you are the Attracting power that pulls it all together. Once you are clear about that – only then can you easily change your experience. Once you change your Attitude relative to ANY subject – you change your life.
Nothing outside of you can do that for you. You choose – so you predict. No one else. Use the powerful energy of 2010 to motivate and inspire changes. Take action from Inspiration. Live the Dream.
